South West Regulators Forum

The forum includes representatives from most regulatory services in the south west, including
Trading Standards Service, Enviornmental Health, Health and Safety Executive,
Food Standards Agency, the State Veterenary Service (now Animal Health),
Office of Fair Trading and the Environment Agency.

Their remit is to: • To promote positive relationships between SWERCOTS and other regulators in the south west. • To help prepare regulatory services for joint working
in particular through Local Area Agreements.

The ‘We have the power’ information leaflets (to the left) have been launched and circulated
to authorities and elected members, to highlight the vital role of regulators in key areas of
council priorities. The driving principles are to be intelligence led, outcome driven
and powered by partnership
